  • What catering option is best for me: De Sering or Testafel? What are the prices per person?

De Sering Food Menu

Our standard De Sering catering package includes: 

bread and dips, one soup​, and one main course

 

De Sering Pricing:
The pricing for De Sering catering varies based on your specific needs and location. Once you complete the inquiry form, we will provide a quote. You have the option to select either just the soup or the main course, but bread and dips are included with every menu.

Dessert: You can add a dessert option, typically a slice of cake, for an additional €2.50 per person.

 

The dishes for soup and the main course are based on what we are already cooking at De Sering at the time. While we can't accommodate specific dish requests, we can cater to dietary restrictions—please inform us of any allergies.

 

Testtafel Food Menu


Testtafel offers catering options for 3, 5, and 7-course meals. These are fine-dining meals and therefore come at a higher price point.  As prices tend to fluctuate we will send you a offer with our prices at the moment once we have received your inquiry form.

 

  • What dishes are offered? Are there sample menus?

We don't have set sample menus since every event is unique. We encourage you to check our social media (@testtafel or @de_sering) for examples of our menus and dishes. If you have a specific menu request or collaboration, there will be an additional charge. Please reach out for details.

 

  • Can you transport the food? How much does that cost?

 

Pickup: Free for orders picked up with your own equipment. We recommend bringing pots or bags for your order. Collection times vary, but we generally suggest late afternoon or early evening.

 

Delivery: If pickup isn't feasible, delivery is available for a minimum fee of €50. We can provide local delivery using our bakfiets at a low cost, but further locations will incur travel costs of €1 per kilometer for distances over 30 minutes from Amsterdam. If you need equipment pickup afterwards, an additional €50 fee applies, along with the same mileage rate.

 

  • Can I hire servers for my event?

 

Yes, we can provide staff for your event at a labor cost of €31 per hour per staff member (exclusive of VAT).   Below is a general guide of the number of staff you would need to cater an event based on number of courses and guests.   Staffing needs may vary based on the event type and resources available on-site. If you have specific requirements, please indicate them on the inquiry form.

 

  • Can you provide drinks?

 

Absolutely! We offer a variety of non-alcoholic drinks, beers, and specialty wines.

 

  • Is there a minimum or maximum number of guests for catering?

 

We do not have a minimum or maximum number of guests. Each catering request is evaluated to ensure we can provide suitable food for you and your guests.

 

  • Can I use your equipment at my event?

 

Yes, we offer equipment rentals, including plates, cutlery, induction plates, pots, pans, and serving essentials. Rental prices (excluding VAT) are as follows:

  • Cutlery: €0.65 per person (set of spoon, knife, and fork)

  • Plates: €0.30 per plate per person

  • Water Glass: €0.25 per glass

  • Wine Glass: €0.35 per glass

  • Induction Plate: €10 per plate

  • Bain Marie: €10 per plate

  • How far in advance can I book catering?

 

We recommend contacting us as soon as possible to ensure proper planning. Our kitchen operates on a two-week advance schedule, which is the minimum notice required.
